We had the pleasure of hosting a three-day French culinary workshop for the talented students of the American Community School. It was a hands-on experience filled with learning, creativity, and of course, delicious food!
Day 1: French Toast and French Chicken
The workshop kicked off with the students diving into the art of making French toast, mastering the perfect balance of fluffy texture and delightful flavor. Later, they delved into the savory side of French cuisine by preparing succulent French chicken , learning techniques that would make any chef proud.
Day 2: Profiteroles and Chocolate Fondant
On the second day, the students explored the sweeter side of French desserts. They crafted airy profiteroles filled with delectable cream and drizzled with rich chocolate sauce which they made from scratch start to finish .The highlight of the day was creating indulgent chocolate fondants, mastering the art of achieving that perfect gooey center. They enjoyed it with our handmade artisanal vanilla ice cream.
Day 3: Chocolate Amande
The final day of our workshop was dedicated to the creation of chocolate amande, a gluten-free delight that combined the richness of chocolate with the nutty goodness of almonds. The students crafted chocolate almond sponge cakes topped with a delightful chocolate almond crumble and finished with a velvety chocolate creameux. They learnt how to perfectly balance the richness of the chocolate in the cake.
We were mindful of dietary restrictions throughout the workshop, ensuring that all students, including vegans, vegetarians, and those with nut allergies, could fully participate. Substitutes were seamlessly integrated, allowing everyone to enjoy the culinary journey without limitations.
The joy and satisfaction on the faces of the students as they mastered each dish were truly heartwarming. We’re proud to have provided an immersive and inclusive culinary experience that not only honed their skills but also fostered a love for French cuisine.
